These are the terms that govern your use of Board86. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Board86 is a tool that helps Canadian restaurants track invoices, labour, sales, and inventory. It's operated by Chi Cheng as a sole proprietorship based in Ontario, Canada. Contact: chi@board86.com.
You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know promptly if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission.
Data you upload to Board86 (invoices, POS exports, labour reports, settings, etc.) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the service to you — for example, storing it, running it through extraction, and showing it back to you in the app. We don't sell it, don't share it with advertisers, and don't use it to train machine-learning models. We try to keep Board86 running reliably, but we don't guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or that features won't change. We may update or remove features at any time. If a change materially reduces the value of the service to you, you can close your account and request deletion of your data.
Any fees that apply to your account will be communicated to you directly. If we introduce or change paid plans, we'll give you notice and you can choose whether to continue.
You can stop using Board86 and ask us to delete your data at any time — email chi@board86.com. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that pose a risk to the service or to other users.
Board86 is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the extraction results are accurate — always verify amounts and totals against the source documents before acting on them. Board86 is a tool to help you see your operation; it does not replace bookkeeping, accounting, or tax advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Board86's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply in Ontario. Any disputes will be handled by the courts of Ontario.
If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where practical, notify you by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the revised terms.
